Omnisend Pricing 2026: What Each Plan Really Costs
Omnisend pricing starts at $0 and has two paid plans for most Shopify stores: Standard from $16 a month for 500 contacts, and Pro from $59 a month for 2,500 contacts. Both prices rise as your list grows. For example, at 10,000 contacts, Standard costs about $132 a month and Pro about $150, according to EmailToolTester’s August 2026 tier table.
Omnisend is an email, SMS and web push marketing platform built for ecommerce stores. A contact is anyone on your list, whether or not you email them that month.
I checked Omnisend’s pricing page and its Shopify App Store listing on October 18, 2026. However, I found that the pricing page only prints the entry price for each plan. Therefore, for larger lists, I used an independent tier table and flagged it as such.
Key Takeaways
- The Free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 emails a month, with Omnisend branding.
- Standard starts at $16 a month for 500 contacts and allows email sends equal to 12 times your list.
- Pro starts at $59 a month for 2,500 contacts, with unlimited email sends.
- Paying 3 months upfront saves 30% on either paid plan.
- SMS is billed as prepaid credits, from $0.009 per US message down to $0.007 at high volume.
How Much Does Omnisend Cost in 2026?
Omnisend has four plans, and the right one depends mostly on list size. From my research, list size drives the bill far more than send volume, because Omnisend charges by contacts. In other words, two stores with 4,000 contacts pay the same Standard price even if one sends twice as many campaigns, as long as both stay under the 12x send cap. That makes contact hygiene the main lever you control. Specifically, every inactive subscriber you keep can push you into the next tier, while extra campaigns cost nothing until you hit the cap. For example, a store that cleans 1,000 unengaged contacts off a 5,500-contact list moves back into the 5,000 tier. As a result, the cheapest month on Omnisend is usually the one right after a list clean-up, not the one with fewer campaigns. Here’s what each plan includes, per Omnisend’s pricing page and App Store listing:
| Plan | Starting price | Contacts at that price | Email sends | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 250 | 500 a month | Testing the tool on a small list |
| Standard | $16/month | 500 | 12x your list | Most stores under 10,000 contacts |
| Pro | $59/month | 2,500 | Unlimited (fair use) | Heavy senders and stores using SMS |
| Custom | Quote | 150,000+ | Unlimited | Very large lists |
In addition, the pricing page says the Free plan includes all features within its limits, including SMS. However, Free emails and forms carry Omnisend branding. Standard and Pro make the branding optional and include free migration and 24/7 support.

What Does Omnisend Cost at Each List Size?
Your bill grows with your contact count, not your revenue. Notably, I compiled this table so you can see the full curve in one place. Omnisend’s own page shows only the entry prices, so this table uses EmailToolTester’s tier data (updated August 2026). Its 500-contact Standard price and 2,500-contact Pro price match Omnisend’s official listing.
| Contacts | Standard | Pro | Pro minus Standard | Standard cost per contact |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $16 | $59 | $43 | 3.2 cents |
| 2,500 | $44 | $59 | $15 | 1.8 cents |
| 5,000 | $81 | $90 | $9 | 1.6 cents |
| 10,000 | $132 | $150 | $18 | 1.3 cents |
| 25,000 | $282 | $400 | $118 | 1.1 cents |
| 50,000 | $413 | $715 | $302 | 0.8 cents |
I calculated the last two columns from those prices. Notably, the gap between Standard and Pro is smallest from 2,500 to 10,000 contacts, between $9 and $18 a month. Above that, Pro gets much more expensive. As a result, mid-size lists are where an upgrade to Pro costs the least.
That said, prices change, so check Omnisend’s calculator for your exact list size before you budget.
Is Omnisend Pro Worth It Over Standard?
Pro is worth it if you’d hit Standard’s send cap or need Pro-only features. Standard allows email sends equal to 12 times your list each month. For instance, a 5,000-contact list can send 60,000 emails a month, which is 12 campaigns to the full list. Pro removes that cap, subject to a fair-use limit the pricing table sets at 60 times your list.
Specifically, Pro also adds advanced reporting and dynamic content personalization, per the App Store listing. Here’s a simple way to decide:
- Choose Standard if you send 2 to 3 campaigns a week or fewer and mostly rely on automated flows.
- Choose Pro if you email your full list daily during peak season, or you want the advanced reports.
- Recheck in November. Black Friday sending can push a Standard account past its cap for one month.
Consequently, since the gap is only $9 a month at 5,000 contacts, a store near its cap loses little by moving up.

How Much Does Omnisend SMS Cost?
SMS costs extra on paid plans and works through prepaid credits. Omnisend’s pricing page lists these US rates by purchase size:
| Credit purchase | US price per SMS |
|---|---|
| $10 to $49.99 | $0.009 |
| $50 to $999.99 | $0.0085 |
| $1,000 to $9,999.99 | $0.008 |
| $10,000 and up | $0.007 |
Here’s a hypothetical example. A store sending 2,000 US texts a month would buy $18 of credits at the $0.009 rate. Moreover, rates differ by country, so international lists cost more. Also note that, per Omnisend’s help center, first-time abandoned carts can only get email, because phone numbers sync after a customer’s first order.
For comparison, Klaviyo’s SMS plan costs $15 a month for up to 1,250 credits. See our full Omnisend vs Klaviyo cost comparison for each tier side by side.
Does Omnisend Have a Free Trial or Discounts?
Omnisend has no time-limited trial on its paid plans, but the Free plan has no end date. Instead, the pricing page offers 30% off when you pay three months upfront. On Standard, that’s $33.60 for the first three months instead of $48. On Pro, it’s $123.90 instead of $177.
In addition, accounts spending at least $400 a month get a dedicated account expert for free, per the pricing page. That said, most stores in the $500K to $5M range will spend less than that.
Hidden Costs to Check Before You Upgrade
In fact, the list price isn’t the whole bill. Watch these four items:
- Unengaged contacts. You pay for every contact on the list, so cleaning inactive ones lowers your tier.
- SMS credits. These sit outside the plan price and run out mid-month if you don’t top up.
- Peak-season sends. Standard’s 12x cap can bind during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
- App overlap. If another app already sends cart or review emails, you may pay twice for the same job.

Omnisend Standard starts at $16 a month for 500 contacts, and Pro starts at $59 a month for 2,500 contacts. The price rises with your list. For example, at 10,000 contacts, Standard is about $132 and Pro about $150 a month. The Free plan costs nothing for up to 250 contacts.
Is Omnisend free?
Yes, for small lists. Specifically, the Free plan covers up to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month with no time limit. Omnisend says it includes all features, including SMS, within those limits. However, emails and forms carry Omnisend branding until you upgrade.
What is the difference between Omnisend Standard and Pro?
Standard caps email sends at 12 times your list each month, while Pro has unlimited sends under a fair-use rule. Pro also adds advanced reporting and dynamic content. From 2,500 to 10,000 contacts, Pro costs only $9 to $18 a month more than Standard.
How much does Omnisend SMS cost?
Omnisend sells SMS as prepaid credits. US rates start at $0.009 per message for $10 to $49.99 of credits and fall to $0.007 per message above $10,000. Rates vary by country, so check the calculator for your audience.
Does Omnisend charge by contacts or by emails sent?
By contacts. Your plan price depends on how many contacts are on your list, while sends are capped as a multiple of that list on Standard. Therefore, removing inactive contacts is the fastest way to lower the bill.
Bottom Line
For most Shopify stores under 10,000 contacts, Omnisend Standard is the cheapest paid starting point, from $16 to about $132 a month. Pro earns its extra $9 to $18 a month in the 2,500 to 10,000 range if you send often. So check your list size and peak-season send volume, then pick the plan that covers both.
